OPPO’s latest entry-level 5G smartphone, the A3 Pro, has officially arrived in Malaysia. However, ahead of its confirmed 11 July 2024 local release date, those interested can only purchase the phone through CelcomDigi starting today.
To be more specific, the OPPO A3 Pro 5G is included as part of the telco’s Pakej Megajimat deal, which also comes with its Postpaid 5G 80 plan. You can choose to go for a 12-month contract that will net you the phone for only RM449, or a 24-month contract for a lower price point of RM199.
Meanwhile, the plan itself costs RM80 per month, offering 150GB of 5G/4G data quota (90GB base and 60GB extra quota for 12 months), 100Mbps speed, unlimited calls, RM0.20 per SMS, and a RM10 monthly rebate. Alternatively, you can also pick up the phone via CelcomDigi’s Easy 360 instalment programme, which will cost you RM1 per month via its One Pro / Ultra plans with 24 or 36 month contract.
To recap, the new OPPO A3 Pro sports a 6.67-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. On the inside, the entry-level device runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with a single memory configuration made up of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also features an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
As for imaging, the phone has a dual camera setup comprising a 50MP main and 2MP depth sensors, while in front is an 8MP selfie shooter. Powering the phone is a 5,100mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Regarding connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC, and there’s also a 3.5mm jack.
It’s also worth mentioning that the OPPO A3 Pro was listed early by the brand’s official Ocean Mall Melaka store, though this was later deleted. That said, this recent announcement has confirmed that the phone will indeed retail at RM1,099 once it is publicly available on 11 July 2024.
