Yesterday, the OPPO Reno12 series made its Malaysian debut but there will be a third member of the lineup soon with the Reno12 F. The phone was launched in Thailand and it was also listed on the brand’s global site, coming with two storage configurations as well as two colour options.
The Reno12 F is the more affordable model of the series, sporting a flat 6.67-inch 1080p OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,100 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Internally, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset pared with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of expandable storage, but of course, the configurations might differ depending on the market.
On the imaging side, it feature a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 32MP front shooter. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging. For protection, it gets an AGC Dragontrail Star 2 glass as well as an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Reno12 F starts from THB11,999 (~RM1,536) for the base 8GB+256GB trim. It is unknown exactly when it will launch it Malaysia, but we can expect it to arrive here soon as the phone was listed on SIRIM with the model number CPH2637 last month.
