It appears ASUS may have let slip when laptops powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 Series mobile CPUs will be hitting store shelves. Apparently, that date is 15 July, which is just a few weeks away from today.
The alleged launch date was discovered, believe it or not, on the ASUS official store page for multiple laptops. On that note, we now know that the Vivobook S14, ProArt PX13, and Zenbook S16 are just a handful of them, to be powered by the new Ryzen AI 300 Series mobile processors. There’s no mention about the TUF Gaming A16, which we already know will be rocking the mobile processor as well.
AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 Series, codenamed Strix Point, was officially announced during Computex 2024 this year. The new chipset is the brand’s first mobile processor lineup to be based ship out with the Zen5 CPU architecture with up to 12-cores, 24-threads. Additionally, it also comes equipped with up to 16 RDNA3.5 GPU core and a new XDNA2 NPU with a performance of up to 50 TOPS.
The Ryzen AI 300 Series is currently expected to launch with just two SKUs, the Ryzen AI 9 365 and AI 9 HX 370. Beyond that, little is known about the performance of these mobile processors.
