New CAD renders of the Watch Series 10 (or Watch Series X, as some may put it) have surfaced online, offering the first glimpse of Apple’s supposedly upcoming next-gen wearable. The renders, based on information from industry insiders via 91mobiles, reveal a design reminiscent of its predecessor, but with some notable differences.
One of the key changes is the slimmer bezels, which allow for a larger screen. The Watch Series 10 is expected to feature a 2-inch display, making it the largest display on an Apple smartwatch to date. The new model will reportedly come in 45mm and 49mm sizes, with the smaller version measuring 46 x 39.7 x 11.6mm. It also appears that 41mm didn’t make the cut this time around, at least according to this particular leak.
Additionally, Apple is rumored to introduce a redesigned magnetic band system for the Watch Series 10, although specific details about this were not provided in the report. Other potential upgrades include a faster chipset and a thinner resin-coated copper (RCC) motherboard, which contributes to a slimmer profile.
For now, it is not known when Apple plans to unveil its next-gen smartwatch, while 91mobiles believes that it may launch alongside this year’s iPhone series later in September. But as usual, we suggest taking the information from this leak with some scepticism, at least until it is confirmed by the company itself.
