Maybank has introduced a new feature on its MAE app that allows users to log into multiple accounts at the same time, but only if you have both individual and sole proprietor accounts. This seems to be especially useful for business owners who previously had to set up the MAE app on different devices for each account, as it was previously limited to a single account.
With the new multi-account feature, the app now lets users have up to five M2U accounts on a single device, but you can only have access to a single individual account while the rest of the quota is limited to sole proprietor accounts. Secure2u must be activated for each account you add, which can be done via ATM. Of course, there is the usual 12-hour activation period for security purposes.
To add more accounts to your MAE app, head into the settings and tap on the “Switch” at the top right corner followed by “Link M2U Access” button. Keep in mind that you can only add M2U accounts that are under your name. Additionally, each account can only be linked to one device at a time, so if you link an account to another device, it will sign out of your current device.
While this will certainly save small business owners a lot of hassle, there are some downsides to the new feature. If you enable multiple accounts on the app, you will not be able to receive Group Tabung invites, receive Split Bill requests, or send or receive requests through the Send & Request function.
