Logitech G officially revealed the G515 Lightspeed, its latest TKL wireless gaming keyboard. The PC peripheral sports a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing design and effectively serves as a lower-cost alternative to the higher-end G915 TKL that launched several years ago.
“With the iconic G915 gaming keyboard, Logitech G delivered a first-of-its-kind low-profile keyboard renowned for its exceptional quality, top-tier performance, and premium design features. With the G515 low-profile design, we have pushed the boundaries even further,” said Arnaud Perret-Gentil, Head of PC Gaming, Logitech G. “With the G515, we’ve maintained the sleek design while also including our latest technology innovations, such as LIGHTSPEED, LIGHTSYNC, and KEYCONTROL, to give gamers an advanced and high-performance gaming keyboard experience.”
As the more affordable alternative, Logitech G’s new keyboard will be lacking certain features. For starters, it lacks a volume wheel at the top corner, which itself was a key feature for that keyboard.
What you get in return, though, is a keyboard fitted with premium PBT keycaps, coupled with low-profile switches with a key travel distance of 3.2mm and between 32g and 45g of actuation force. That, and pre-lubricated switches, and integrated stabilisers should provide smoother and more comfortable gameplay sessions.
As for battery life, Logitech G says that the G515 Lightspeed can keep playing for up to 36 hours continuously. Finally, it is available in both Black or White at an SRP of RM669, but only with Tactile keyswitches for the Malaysian market, it appears.
