Intel’s Lunar Lake is expected to make its grand launch over the coming weeks but as it stands, the blue chipmaker has been keeping mum over just how many SKUs we are to expect from it. That is, until now.
According to a source close to Videocardz, Intel is planning on launching no less than nine Lunar Lake SKUs. On top of that, the lineup will only have one top-tier SKU, the Core Ultra 9 288V. In other words, just as Intel did when it launched Meteor Lake last year.
A lot is still unknown about the Lunar Lake Core Ultra 9 288V and while the details from the source are still unverified, the SKU could feature a 30W PL1 and PL2, making it the other only unit in the lineup to have such a Processor Base Power – all the other SKUs will simply have a 17W TDP by default. Further, the SKU’s boost clock could top out at 5.1GHz for its P-Cores, and 3.7GHz on the E-Cores, while the onboard NPU will top out at 48 TOPS.
As for the other eight SKUs, the source indicated that Lunar Lake will have four Core Ultra 7 and four Core Ultra 5 SKUs. Both the Core Ultra 9 and 7 units will supposedly feature Arc A140V graphics with eight Xe2 Cores, while the Core Ultra 5 units will include Arc A130V with up to seven Xe2 Cores. Oh, and don’t let the designation fool you, they’re all Battlemage GPU cores.
