vivo seems to be gearing up to launch the Y28s, its newest entry-level smartphone from the Y series. While the phone has been listed on its e-store, the brand has yet to officially reveal the price and availability of the phone. Despite this, one of its retail stores seems to have already posted the price tag of the upcoming device, or at least one of its variants.
The vivo Concept Store in Selayang Mall posted the Y28s on its Facebook page and WhatsApp catalogue, with the retailer listing the price of the phone as RM999 for the 8GB+256GB variant. When asked about the availability, the store stated the phone would be in stock sometime this week, while distributors such as MMG already have it in stock. However, there is no word yet on the pricing of the 128GB variant, which is also listed on vivo’s e-store.
Regarding the specs, the Y28s sports a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 840 nits. Internally, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. For protection, it comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Photography-wise, it features a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, as well as an 8MP lens housed in the front notch. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging.
