Despite being listed on SIRIM a while back, we haven’t heard much about the local availability of the Redmi Pad Pro. However, Xiaomi might have accidentally revealed the local price of the tablet ahead of its launch.
On Sunday, the Facebook page of Xiaomi’s store in Aman Central, Kedah posted that the tablet was available for pre-order at the store from 23 to 25 June 2024. Moreover, when a user asked for the price of the Pad Pro, the store actually stated in the comments that it will retail for RM1,499. The entire post has since been deleted, but now that we know the price, the only thing left to be revealed is the launch date.
To catch you up on the tablet, the Pad Pro sports a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Under the hood, the mid-ranger runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expansion.
On the optics side, it gets an 8MP camera on both the front and rear sides, while powering it is a 10,000mAh cell with support for 33W charging. For connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
