Lenovo has introduced the Tab Plus, which is slated to be available in Malaysia next month. Interestingly, the company markets this new tablet for music enthusiasts, featuring a wide array of JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning that can transform any space into a personal entertainment hub.
The new Tab Plus sports an 11.5-inch 2K TUV-certified display with a 90Hz refresh rate complements its audio capabilities, providing vibrant images and graphics. Lenovo claims the tablet’s display is designed for eye comfort, reducing blue light and flicker. Additionally, it is rated IP52 in terms of water and dust resistance, and has an integrated kickstand that provides up to 175 degrees of viewing flexibility.
As for audio, the tablet offers 26W of stereo sound through its eight JBL speakers, which include four matrix tweeters and four force-balanced woofers. Lenovo adds that Tab Plus also supports high-resolution audio when using headphones, and can even be utilised as a Bluetooth speaker. Onboard is a personalised volume control app, which automatically adjusts the volume based on the application in use in order to ensure optimal audio levels for different activities.
The Lenovo Tab Plus is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, along with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage, expandable via MicroSD card. With an 8,600 mAh battery, the tablet is claimed to provide up to 12 hours of content streaming, while its 45W fast charging support is capable of a full charge in 90 minutes.
Those interested will have to wait a while for the tablet, however. According to Lenovo, the new Tab Plus will only arrive in Malaysia starting 21 July 2024, starting from RM1,599. Included together with it is a Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, Tab Plus Sleeve, and a Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard. The company adds that the tablet will also receive upgrades for two years and security patches until June 2028.
