As reviews of laptops running Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X Elite and Plus processor begin to come in, somebody managed to unearth some interesting information about the mobile chipmaker’s roadmap. Supposedly, we could be looking at up to four more SKUs heading to laptops at a later time.
Proof of these new Snapdragon X Series chips were shared by one Fahad to the popular leakster site, Videocardz, who claims to have found the details after sifting through some Adreno GPU driver files. As mentioned, the list includes four new SKUs: the X1E-76-100, X1E-00-1DE, X1P-62-100, and X1P-56-100. The other four on the list are currently existing models that were announced back in April.
The last two are interesting, as it means that Qualcomm clearly had plans to expand its Snapdragon X Plus portfolio; of the four SKUs that were launched, only one was an X Plus model, while the rest were all X Elite variants. At this time, however, the snapshot does not include any data on these new processors, such as boost frequencies and the core count on each of them.
At the time of writing, Qualcomm has not come forward or made any official announcements on the newly discovered SKUs. Completely understandable, what with the inaugural launch of the Snapdragon X Series lineup.
