Alongside the GT6 series, realme has debuted its new Buds Air6 series, its latest earbuds in the mid-range segment. The lineup is made up of two earbuds with the higher-end of the two offering spatial audio as well as a hi-res audio codec for higher quality audio.
Let’s start with the Buds Air6 Pro, which includes a dual driver system made up of an 11mm bass driver and a 6mm tweeter in each bud. Of course, it comes with active noise cancellation which the brand claims can cancel out up to 50dB of background noise.
The earbuds are equipped with a personalised audio algorithm as well as 360-degree spatial audio. Additionally, it supports the LDAC HD codec for high quality wireless transmission, while the vanilla version supports LHDC 5.0. With ANC enabled, the Pro can last up to 7.5 hours on a single charge with a total playback time of 28 hours with the charging case.
For the base model Buds Air6, the earbuds feature large 12.4mm drivers for more powerful bass. Just like the Pro model, they also pack an ANC feature that drowns noise up to 50dB. Its other features include a low latency mode for gaming along with Google Fast Pair. As for the battery life, the buds advertise that they can last up to 6.5 hours on a single charge with ANC turned on, with a total playback time of 26 hours.
The Buds Air6 retail for RM299 while the Pro model gets a higher price tag of RM399. Both earbuds can be purchased through the company’s Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok stores.
