vivo has launched yet another Y-series smartphone, dubbed Y58. The phone is being released in India and it is positioned as an entry-level device offering decent specs at an affordable price, including a massive battery and a relatively bright display for this segment.
The Y58 sports a 6.72-inch LCD display with a 1080p resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 1,024 nits. Underneath the colourful chassis is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Notably, the phone offers an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
On the optics side, the budget phone gets a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor, alongside an 8MP selfie shooter housed in the punch-hole display cutout. The device packs a large 6,000mAh cell for power, as well as support for 44W charging. As for connectivity, it supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Y58 comes with two colour options and retails in India for INR19,499 (~RM1,099). For now, the brand has not yet announced the pricing and availability of the phone in other markets.
