Infinix has officially brought over the Racing Edition of the Note 40 5G series. Launched earlier this month, the special edition lineup is a collaboration with BMW’s DesignWorks, giving the devices race car-inspired backplates, wallpapers, and app icons.
As for the specs, the phones get the exact same internals as their non-Racing counterparts and even nearly the same price tags. Both the Pro and non-Pro Racing Edition phones run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as well as 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage respectively, with the bigger storage and RAM capacity explaining why the vanilla variant costs more.
The Note 40 5G Racing Edition sports a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz display and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, whereas the Pro version shares the same screen specs but with curved edges. As for imaging, the two phones get a triple-camera setup made up of a 108MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a depth sensor, but only the Pro’s shooter gets OIS.
Both smartphones are powered by 5,000mAh cells, but they differ in charging speeds. The Pro model supports 45W wired and 20W wireless MagCharge charging, while the vanilla variant gets 33W wired and 15W wireless speeds.
The Note 40 5G Racing Edition gets a retail price of RM1,299 while the Pro carries a price tag of only RM1,098. They can be purchased through the brand’s Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop pages as well as authorised retailers.
