Sony is officially launching its fifth-generation wearable thermo-device kit, the Reon Pocket 5, today. Technically a wearable air conditioner, the device is designed to be worn at the back of your neck and used to cool or warm the body surface directly.
“The newly designed Reon Pocket 5 features an enlarged thermo-module and newly structured heat dissipation fan which offers improved cooling efficiency and airflow, resulting in up to 1.5 times higher cooling performance versus the conventional model. Featuring five Cool Levels, the device delivers powerful cooling and runs up to 1.8 times longer – for approximately 7.5 hours at Cool Level 4. In addition, it functions quietly by reducing operating noise by up to a fifth, making it convenient to use even in quiet business environments.”
The Reon Pocket 5 is available starting today, and will retail at an SRP of RM799. In addition to the main device, there are optional accessories that can be purchased with it, including a new case, a dedicated tag, USB cable, and air vent covers.
