HONOR has launched yet another X-series smartphone with the X6b, with the similarly enhanced durability that we have seen in the X9b. Despite being equipped with a waterdrop notch, it still comes with the brand’s Magic Capsule feature.
The X6b sports a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 780 nits. Under the hood, the affordable device uses a MediaTek Helio G85 paired with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.1.
Despite what looks like four lenses on the back, it only has a single 50MP camera as well as a depth sensor, with a 5MP selfie shooter housed in the front notch. Powering everything is a large 5,200mAh battery with support for 35W charging. On the durability side, the brand claims that its anti-drop design improves drop resistance, but it does not come with an IP rating for dust and water resistance.
The phone was quietly listed on the company’s global website but the pricing and availability has not been revealed yet. However, given its moniker, it will likely cost less than the X7b, which carries a price tag of RM799.
