We have seen a few potential model numbers for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 FE appearing. One of those have also appeared in a Geekbench listing, showing a small number of items on the spec sheet as well.
The major identifier in the listing that points to the phone being the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is the SM-S721B model number. This is noted to be the one for the global market of the four that first appeared in the unnamed listing from April. Also noted on the listing is 6.64GB of RAM, which may point to a maximum capacity of 8GB.
Then there’s the chipset on this Samsung Galaxy S24 FE listing. On one hand, a lot of it points to an Exynos 2400 chip. The chip in question comes with 10 cores for the processor component, with the highest clock speed rated at 3.11GHz. But on the flip side, the Exynos 2400 has a theoretical top clock speed of 3.2GHz. The clock speed for the other clusters are consistent, at least.
One possible explanation for this discrepancy, according to GSMArena, is the possibility of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE being run on “Light Performance Mode”. The report also claims that the phone could come with 12GB of RAM instead of just having 8GB as the option, according to the phone’s listing by a UK telco called EE.
As we mentioned before, it is possible that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will be unveiled officially during the upcoming Unpacked event, even if it would be a tad early. Alternatively, it would launch later in the year instead, which would be more consistent with the prior FE entry, which launched in October.
