Yes 5G has recently unveiled its latest prepaid plan, the FT5G 20. At RM20, it is currently one of the lower priced prepaid offerings available in the local market, though it is the only one so far that offers uncapped 4G and 5G speeds and a data quota of 50GB.
The Yes 5G FT5G 20 plan also comes with 30 days of validity and unlimited calls, though additional charges for SMS still apply. Additionally, the aforementioned 50GB data quota applies to both 4G/5G and hotspot usage, and there is an interesting twist. Unlike a lot of other similar plans, you can actually carry over unused quota to the next cycle, adding over to the renewed amount.
However, there are certain conditions that need to be noted. Users must ensure their FT5G 20 plan is renewed before the end of the current subscription period in order for the remaining data quota to be carried over. Delaying this will forfeit the amount, thus resetting the limit back to 50GB. Renewing to a different Yes 5G prepaid plan will reset the data quota as well, whereas different data add-on purchases are not eligible for data rollover.
The new FT5G 20 prepaid plan is available via Yes 5G’s official online store, MyYes app, Yes Stores, and authorised dealers nationwide. The telco adds that the plan is offered to both Malaysians and non-Malaysians aged 12 years and older.
