Nikon is gearing up to unveil the third generation entry to its Z6 full-frame mirrorless camera. As revealed on the brand’s official website, the launch will take place on 17 June 2024 at 8pm local time and broadcasted live via YouTube.
As usual, details surrounding the upcoming camera, known as the Z6 III, are still a mystery for now. Although, snippets from Nikon’s teaser video are suggesting that it may feature a new pre-capture function that snaps photos before the shutter button is fully pressed, along with an improved viewfinder, small and compact design, as well as better dynamic range.
The new Nikon Z6 III is also featured throughout the same teaser, but only so vaguely. In most appearances, the camera is either too far away or “strategically” covered by the photographer for anyone to make out how it actually looks like. Nevertheless, it does seem to fit the “small and compact” description mentioned above.
Sadly, that’s all there is for the upcoming camera, at least for now. For specifications, pricing and availability, we’ll have to wait until the brand officially launches the Z6 III next week. It’s also worth noting that Nikon Malaysia has begun inviting the public to register their interest in the camera via its official website.
