HTC has just launched a new mid-range smartphone in Taiwan dubbed the U24 Pro, which comes with a relatively high price tag for something with its specs. The device is the successor to last year’s U23 Pro and it is fitted with an upgraded chipset, a better camera setup, a slightly bigger display, faster charging speeds, and some minor AI features.
Firstly, the U24 Pro sports a 6.8-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh and an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. Inside, the phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
For imaging, the mid-ranger features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP selfie shooter with autofocus. Powering it is a 4,600mAh battery with support for 60W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging. On the connectivity side, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and an audio jack.
The U24 Pro is offered in two colour options and starts from TWD18,990 (~RM2,767) for the base model. As of now, it is uncertain if the phone will be made available outside of Taiwan.
