Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be coming to MacOS this year, alongside the PC and gaming consoles.
The announcement was officially made by Ubisoft’s head of development of the franchise. They say that the decision was a logical one, given that it has already adopted Apple’s Metal 3 engine. That, and the fact that it already launched the previous title, Mirage, last year.
For the uninitiated, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the next title under the franchise, and marks the first time the developer and publisher has gone back on its word to never make a game in said setting. Set in Feudal Japan, players will take on the role of two protagonists, a kunoichi named Naoe; and a black Samurai named Yasuke, who is based off a real African person who was effectively a page for the warlord Oda Nobunaga.
