Apple announced at its WWDC 2024 that its Vision Pro Augmented Reality (AR) headset is heading towards the Asian market, starting 28 June. As exciting as this is, though, there is, sadly, just one problem: Malaysia isn’t on that list.
The first three Asian countries that will see the Vision Pro hitting their shelves are China, Japan, and Singapore. Yes, you read that right. Our neighbour to the south will be getting the headset first, well before we do. That being said, Apple will be opening its first official store at TRX on 22 June, so Malaysia may, in all likelihood, be on the next list of countries that will receive the Vision Pro.
In any case and to be precise, those countries will be able to preorder the headset beginning 28 June, and consumers that do so will receive them from 12 July onward.
“The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary, and we are thrilled to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We can’t wait for more people to see the impossible become possible, whether working and collaborating with an infinite canvas for apps, reliving treasured memories in three dimensions, watching TV shows and movies in a one-of-a-kind personal cinema, or enjoying brand-new spatial experiences that defy imagination.”
