POCO has quietly listed the M6 4G on its global website, unveiling the specs of the new smartphone ahead of its global launch tomorrow, but without any details on availability. The new phone comes half a year after the Xiaomi sub-brand introduced the 5G variant.
The M6 4G sports a flat 6.79-inch 1080p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 550 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion — of course, there is a possibility that the configurations offered in Malaysia will differ.
On the imaging side, it gets a 108MP main camera along with a 2MP macro lens along and a 13MP front shooter. Powering the entry-level device is a 5,030mAh battery with support for 33W charging. For connectivity, the phone comes with support for 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a headphone jack.
While we do not know when exactly it will be available in Malaysia, it will most likely be soon after the global launch as it has already been listed on SIRIM since 3 May 2024. Oddly enough, Xiaomi recently released the Redmi 13 here and the M6 4G seems to just be a rebadged version of that phone, so it will be interesting to see if there will be a big differentiating factor.
