OPPO may soon be introducing a new mid-range smartphone here with the A3 Pro. The phone was launched in China back in April but it has recently made its way onto the SIRIM database, signalling its imminent arrival into the local market.
The A3 Pro received SIRIM certification on 30 May 2024 with the model number CPH2639. It features enhanced durability using Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front, the brand’s in-house Crystal Shield glass on the back for improved drop resistance, and an impressive IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. As for the software, it ships with ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.
The A3 Pro sports a 6.7-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 950 nits. Inside, the mid-ranger runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, but of course, the configurations offered here might be different.
On the imaging front, the phone is packed with a 64MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie shooter. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports a charging speed of 67W. It retails with a starting price of CNY1,999 (~RM1,295) in China for the base trim, so we can expect something similar for the local pricing.
