Before the MSI Claw even became widely available, the company already said that there will be revisions of the handheld gaming PC. Here at Computex 2024, one such revision may have made an appearance, calling itself the MSI Claw 8 AI Plus.
The handheld itself was quite well guarded, so it mostly sat on its pedestal without anyone being able to get a hand on it. But at a glance, the MSI Claw 8 AI Plus sports slight tweaks to its design – like its two-tone colourway – while looking mostly similar to the first model.
What’s most striking about the MSI Claw 8 AI Plus though was the partial spec sheet that was displayed alongside it. And the very first line in the list is the claim that it is “powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, codenamed Lunar Lake” which also had the veil lifted off of it during Computex 2024.
The rest of theh MSI Claw 8 AI Plus includes an 8-inch Full HD touch display, with VRR up to 120Hz, Hall Effect controllers, and an unspecified larger battery life. The Verge reports that the battery is in fact an 80Wh one, matching the recently unveiled ASUS ROG Ally X. Meanwhile, Digital Trends also reports that the device will be launching in September.
Meanwhile, also making an appearance at the Computex 2024 grounds was a special Fallout 4 edition of the original MSI Claw. Nothing that’s different here besides the new coat of paint though.
