realme has announced a launch date for the global launch of the GT6 series. It comprises of two smartphones, the GT6 and the GT 6T, which will both be the company’s new upper mid-range offerings, packed with AI-powered features. The latter has already been unveiled in India while the former has not been launched yet, but the brand did tease some of its specs.
Just like the 6T, the GT6 will come with an LTPO display with a whopping peak brightness of 6,000 nits, although that is likely for HDR content while global brightness is limited to 1,600 nits. According to rumours, it will use a flat 1.5K OLED panel and the phone will be wrapped in a metal frame.
As for the chipset, the 6T runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor while the global version of the GT6 is expected to feature the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Other leaked specs of the phone allegedly include a 50MP main camera, a 6,000mAh battery, and support for 100W charging.
Meanwhile, we already know the 6T has a 50MP sensor as well as an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the back. Powering the mid-ranger is a hefty 5,500mAh cell with support for 120W charging.
The series will be launching in Milan on 20 June 2024. While the firm has yet to announce the date of availability in Malaysia for the two smartphones, given that both devices have already been spotted on SIRIM, the lineup is expected to go on sale here shortly after the global launch.
