As part of its Computex 2024 showcase, ASUS has also unveiled the Zenbook S 16. In addition to new hardware, primarily the AMD Ryzen AI CPUs, the company says that this latest addition to its laptop lineup is what it calls Ceraluminium.
This material, according to the company, has the unique material feel on the surface as ceramic, while also boasting the strength of aluminium. That being said, not the entirety of the ASUS Zenbook S 16 is made of the material, but only the top lid. The rest of the body comes in regular old aluminium.
For the screen itself, the ASUS Zenbook S 16 has a 16-inch 16:10 3K display, with a refresh rate of up to 120hz. There’s also TUV certification and low blue light and flicker-free tech for eye protection.
On the inside, as with many of the laptops announced by the company today, the top end CPU choice here is an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Memory options go all the way up to 32GB of LPDDR5x, and storage goes up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe 4 SSD. Powering the laptop is a 78 Wh battery. Ports include two USB ports, one USB 3.2 port, a HDMI port, and as SD card reader.
The company says that the ASUS Zenbook S 16 has a starting price of US$1,399 (~RM6,585). Local prices are not yet available, but they will likely be announced as we approach its local launch.
