A new leak of the widely rumoured Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 has surfaced online, courtesy of Ice Universe. Recently shared on the tech insider’s account on X (formerly Twitter) is an alleged cropped live photo of the device (shown above), which is placed beside an image of its predecessor for comparison.
From what’s shown, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 is depicted sporting a more rectangular design than before. Even though it still retains a tall aspect ratio, the external screen is much wider and has slightly thinner bezels – details which Ice Universe have previously pointed out before. This newer leak also corroborates with a prior one shared by fellow leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) back in February, which showcases the phone’s design in a series of renders.

Provided either leaks are accurate, one visually noticeable improvement that the Galaxy Z Fold6 has over its predecessor is symmetry. While the phone’s hinge is still visible, it is much less prominent than before, while the bezels surrounding the external display are more even on all sides.

It is unclear whether this particular design will apply to the phone’s rumoured variants, notably the S-pen integrated Ultra model and the yet-to-be-named entry-level option. Speaking of which, recent reports have claimed that the latter may have been cancelled, and it is said that Samsung will consider a budget-friendly version for next year’s Samsung foldable instead.
As usual, we advise our readers to take leaks and hearsays with some scepticism, as oftentimes a good number of these tend to end up being inaccurate. On that note, we’ll only know for certain once Samsung officially unveils its next-gen foldables, including the rumoured Galaxy Z Flip6, during its next major Unpacked event of the year that’s rumoured to be held in Paris this July.
