Chinese home appliance brand Skyworth previously launched its SUC7500 4K smart TVs, which came in 50- 55- and 65-inch sizes. More recently, the company has unveiled a 100-inch QLED TV for the local market. It’s called the Skyworth 100SUE8600, and as you’d expect, it’s a smart TV that’s packed with features.
Some items on the spec sheet of the Skyworth 100SUE8600 have already been mentioned, but one more thing worth mentioning about the screen itself is its 144Hz refresh rate, with variable refresh rate (VVR) support. The processor consists of four ARM Cortex A73 cores, and is paired with a Mali G52 GPU. Also inside is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Connectivity options include WiFI AC and Bluetooth 5.1 on the wireless front. Wired connectivity, on the other hand, comes in the form of two USB 2.0 ports, two HDMI 2,1 ports and a HDMI 2.0 port.
On the software side of things, the Skyworth 100SUE8600 runs Google TV, running apps via Google Play, and with Chromecast built-in. It also supports HDR10 Plus tech, as well as Dolby VIsion and Dolby Atmos sounds. And on the subject of sound, it comes with a built in 2.1.2-channel speaker system built in.
The Skyworth 100SUE8600 has an asking price of RM17,999, though the company has not shared an availability date. It had an official product page on its local site linked below, but it was pulled shortly before the local launch event took place. It should be back up in a few, and that’s where to go to find out more about the TV.
