Following the Pova 6 and 6 Pro, Tecno is set to release a third device from the Pova 6 series in Malaysia called the Pova 6 Neo. The phone was unveiled in India last month and while the brand has announced the arrival of the phone yet, it has recently been listed on the SIRIM database, indicating an imminent local launch.
The Pova 6 Neo received SIRIM approval on 25 May 2024 with the model number LI6. It is expected to be the cheapest offering from the lineup, carrying mostly the same specs as the vanilla model except for a downgraded display panel, smaller camera sensors, and slower charging speeds.
Regarding the specs, the entry-level device sports a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 580 nits. It runs on the same MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chip as its higher-end counterpart and it also comes with an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
On the optics front, it features a single 50MP camera on the back while the punch-hole cutout on the display houses an 8MP selfie snapper. Powering the budget phone is a massive 7,000mAh battery, which is the largest capacity found in this series, with support for 33W charging.
