realme recently launched a new mid-range smartphone in India called the GT 6T and it seems that the phone will be making its way here soon. While a local launch has not yet been announced by the company, the phone itself has already made an appearance on the SIRIM database, signalling its upcoming availability.
The GT 6T received SIRIM certification on 17 May 2024 with the model number RMX3853. It is a lower-end version of the upcoming GT6, but seeing that the latter has not even been announced yet, there’s a chance that the 6T might be available in the Malaysian market first.
For the specs, the GT 6T sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection, a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits, and an HDR peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Inside, the phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3.
On the imaging side, it packs a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the back, while the front houses a 32MP selfie shooter. Battery-wise, it is powered by a large 5,500mAh battery with support for 120W charging. While we don’t know how much it will cost in Malaysia yet, we can expect it to be similar to its starting price of INR30,999 (~RM1,750) in India.
