The HONOR 200 and its Pro model have just recently been unveiled in its home market of China. Since then, the company has released another teaser, hinting at the series’ arrival onto our shores soon. In a separate press release that was sent out, this may happen as soon as next week.
Of course, the teaser – which was posted on the company’s Facebook page – makes no mention of the HONOR 200 specifically. That said, the teaser consists of an image that looks a lot like the camera island of the aforementioned phone model. Unfortunately, nothing else has been revealed by the company, be it in its social media post or the aforementioned press release. Also worth pointing out that the company used vague wording for what it is revealing next week, but we’ll get back to that in a bit.
For what it’s worth, taking a look at the phone’s launch in China, we can get a surface look at what’s making its way here. And speaking of surface, the HONOR 200 and its Pro model have a few items on its spec sheet in common. This includes the way they look, the 6.7-inch OLED Full HD+ 120Hz screen, and the 5,200mAh battery with 100W charging support.
Their cameras are mostly similar too, with both using a 50MP main + 50MP 2.5x telephoto + 12MP wide angle camera setups, as well as a 50MP front-facing camera. On to the specifics, the HONOR 200 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro model has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 instead, which also comes with 66W wireless charging as a bonus.
For its home market, the HONOR 200 starts with a 8GB + 256GB configuration and a corresponding price of RMB2,699 (~RM1,748). On the other end of the spectrum is a 16GB + 512GB config, which costs RMB3,199 (~RM2,072) instead. As for the Pro model, this starts with 12GB + 256GB costing RMB3,199 (~RM2,310), and tops out at 16GB + 1TB, with a price of RMB4,499 (~RM2,970).
While the company hints at the local launch of the HONOR 200 series in Malaysia next week, GSMArena reports that the line will be getting its international debut on 12 June instead. It would be unlike the norm for us to be getting a local launch for a device before its international one, so it’s entirely likely that we’ll be thrown a curveball between now and then.
