Maybank has confirmed via a reply on X (formerly Twitter) that it is currently experiencing an intermittent service interruption on MAE, Maybank2u, and Maybank2u Biz. At the time of writing, many users have reported experiencing issues when completing transactions through card-based payments, QR Code, or online transfers.
Any attempts to access certain online services offered by the bank’s Maybank2u platform will be prompted by a maintenance notice. Meanwhile, some users are also reporting experiencing issues when accessing the MAE app.

In its latest post on X, Maybank says it is currently working to resolve the matter as soon as possible. No word on when the unscheduled maintenance will be completed.
Kindly be informed that MAE app, Maybank2u (web & app), Maybank2u Biz (web & app) and debit card transactions are temporarily unavailable.

[UPDATE: 23 May 2024 – 8:20pm] Maybank announced on X that it has resolved the service disruption, and users can now perform transactions as usual. However, it noted that the ability to view your card information is still unavailable at this time. The bank did not disclose the cause of the issue.
Despite Maybank’s update, some users are still reporting that they are unable to complete their payments through its card or online transfer methods.
