Xiaomi has officially launched the POCO F6 series for the global market, with a total of two phones consisting of a vanilla version and a Pro model. While being the brand’s flagship lineup, both devices are actually in the upper middle-class range when you consider the specs, hence the attractive price tags.
To start with, there’s the regular F6, which sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120H refresh rate, a global peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and an HDR peak brightness of 2,400 nits. It is the first phone in Malaysia to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Regarding imaging, the vanilla model gets a 50MP main camera with OIS on the back alongside an 8MP ultra-wide while the front has a 20MP selfie shooter. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 90W charging. Software-wise, both phones ship with Xiaomi’s HyperOS.
On the other side, we have the F6 Pro which is fitted with a 6.67-inch 1440p 120Hz AMOLED display that has a global peak brightness of 1,200 nits and a whopping peak brightness of 4,000 nits for HDR content. Under the chassis lies last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 16GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
For optics, the flagship device is equipped with a 50MP primary snapper with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP front camera. The phone is also powered by a 5,000mAh cell but it supports a much faster 120W charging speed.
The F6 is now available in Malaysia with a starting price of RM1,799 for the 8GB+256GB variant and RM1,999 for the 12GB+512GB variant. However, you can get an early bird offer from 23 to 31 May where the phones will be priced at RM1,559 and RM1,699 respectively.
Meanwhile, the F6 Pro comes in three trims and retails at RM2,299 for 12GB+256GB, RM2,499 for 12GB+512GB, and RM2,899 for 16GB+1TB.
