Plenty has been said about the Samsung Galaxy Ring, with little of them confirmed, including its upcoming debut alongside the foldables in July’s Unpacked. But recently, a regular leakster has claimed to know its price range at launch, as well as the possibility of a subscription cost on top of that.
The claim comes via Yogesh Brar on X, formerly Twitter, who initially shared the claim that the Samsung Galaxy Ring will have a price range between US$300 (~RM1,414) and US$350 (~RM1,650). Perhaps as expected, there is also the expected price in India of INR35,000 (~RM1,981). Later, the leakster shared with Android Authority that it could also have a monthly cost of “under US$10 (~RM47)”.
Of course, the potential for there to be a subscription cost for the Samsung Galaxy Ring immediately brings the company’s own Galaxy Watch6 as a comparison. The smartwatch starts from RM1,099 locally, going up to RM1,799, but it does its job without a subscription price on top. Of course, Dr Hon Pak, the company’s head of Digital health, previously told CNBC that using both together would be result in “different” – presumably better – health insights.
With all that said, none of this has been confirmed by the company. Though it won’t be too long a wait for that, assuming the claims that the Samsung Galaxy Ring will be sharing a stage with the foldables are accurate.
