The Microsoft Build 2024 event is now behind us, coinciding with it were a number of announcements by brands advertising their own AI PCs, at least by Microsoft’s definition. One of them is the new Acer Swift 14 AI, which the brand calls its first AI PC laptop.
In addition to AI being in the name, one key difference between this Acer Swift 14 AI and other Swift 14 models that have come before it is that it sports Qualcomm’s processors rather than Intel’s or AMD’s. Potential buyers still get the choice between Snapdragon X Plus or the Snapdragon X Elite, as well as Adreno integrated graphics.
No specific RAM and storage configurations of the Acer Swift 14 AI were mentioned, but the top options goup to 32GB of LPDDR5X-8533 SDRAM and 1TB of PCIe 4 storage. The battery is rated at 75Wh, with the company claims can last up to 16 hours.
Moving to the outside of the laptop, the screen is a 14.5-inch 16:10 WQXGA IPS display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, with a QHD IR camera to go with it. Ports include two USB-C with support for DisplayPort and USB charging, two USB 3,2 ports and an audio jack, with supplemented wireless options including WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The entire package has a weight of 1.36kg.
For now, the company has only provided the starting price and availability of the Acer Swift 14 AI in the US and EMEA, which starts in July from US$1,099 (~RM5,157) and June from EUR1,499 (~RM7,635) respectively. None for the local market just yet, but the brand is likely to make a separate announcement when the laptop lands on our shores. In the meantime though, you can find out more about the laptop by visiting the official product page, linked here.
