AMD announced two new Ryzen CPUs this week. Those CPUs are the Ryzen 7 8700F and 5 8400F.
The two Ryzen processors are part of the chipmaker’s new 8000G Series APUs, but with one difference: they lack any RDNA3 integrated graphics. Specifically, the 8700F has 8-cores, 16-threads, with a maximum boost clock of 5GHz, and a 24MB L3 Cache. Additionally, this is the only model of the two that is AI Ready, meaning that it also houses an NPU.
The Ryzen 5 8400F is a 6-cores, 12-threads CPU with a maximum boost clock of 4.7GHz, along with a slightly smaller 22MB L3 Cache. What these two have in common though is that they share the same 65W TDP as the 8700G that we reviewed earlier this year. They both also ship out with their very own Wraith Stealth cooler.
The AMD Ryzen 5 8400F and Ryzen 7 8700F are already available at all authorises resellers and retailers. Pricing starts at US$169 (~RM791) for the 8400F and US$269 (~RM1,259) for the 8700F.
