Europe’s biggest football tournament, the UEFA EURO 2024, is just around the corner. In fact, it’s slated to commence from 15 June to 15 July 2024.
As announced earlier this year, SPOTV acquired exclusive media rights to UEFA EURO 2024, making it the sole network to broadcast the football tournament in Malaysia and Singapore. While it may seem that options are limited, it isn’t entirely the case.
Fortunately, many services in Malaysia – such as Astro, unifi TV, and others – offer SPOTV as part of their respective packages. This is good news for those who do not wish to subscribe to different platforms just for the sake of tuning into Europe’s highly anticipated football tournament, though note that there is an option to sign up for the sports network on its own via its SPOTV NOW streaming service.
Whether you’re already subscribed to an existing subscription or wish to explore other options, we’ve prepared a list of services and packages that offer UEFA EURO 2024 via SPOTV in Malaysia. Also included are the different pricing offered by each one for your reference.

It should be noted that SPOTV only offers its UEFA EURO 2024 coverage as a standalone package via its SPOTV NOW streaming service. In other words, even if you’ve already subscribed to its Basic or Premium plans, you still need to purchase the season pass in order to tune into the tournament. The good news is that non-subscribers can get this pass on a one-off basis if they just want to watch all 51 matches via SPOTV NOW, and at an even more affordable rate (for a limited time) if they’re a CelcomDigi customer.
Another thing we should point out is that all of the Unifi TV packages listed above also include SPOTV NOW access to customers. However, much like subscribing to the streaming service on its own, you are still required to purchase the season pass in order to watch EURO 2024 through the app. On the flip side, you need not worry about buying any add-ons if you’re planning to tune into the tournament directly via the SPOTV channels on Unifi TV.
What About RTM?
Now, you may or may not have heard that communications minister Fahmi Fadzil is in talks with broadcasting department director general Datuk Suhaimi Sulaiman regarding the rights to broadcast UEFA EURO 2024 on RTM. However, there have been no further developments regarding this since his last statement on 30 April 2024.
Chances of this actually happening is close to unlikely, and the minister himself did point out that acquiring the licence to broadcast will be very costly. “We have to be careful in terms of cost because we know the cost is too high, so we have to see if it has been allocated,” he told reporters. “If it has been allocated we will take it but if it is outside of what has been allocated it will be an issue.”
