The Sony Xperia 10 VI has been officially unveiled, alongside its flagship sibling the Xperia 1 VI. Unlike the flagship though, this one has not suffered much in terms of leaks, so there’s still some surprises to be had. Among them being the retention of the 21:9 aspect ratio.
And on that note, the Sony Xperia 10 VI has a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED screen with 60Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. Inside, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a 5,000mAh battery which the company says can last two days, but no charging rates were mentioned. Memory storage are rated at 8GB and 128GB, but there’s also microSDXC support for up to 1.5TB.
The rear camera setup of the Sony Xperia 10 VI consists of a 48MP main + 8MP wide angle combo, while the front-facing camera is another 8MP shooter. Thankfully, the company has not gotten rid of the bezels at the top and bottom of the display, which means the camera is out of the way of the screen, and the phone keeps the front-firing stereo speakers. The entire package also comes with the ol’ reliable IP65 / IP68 rating.
While the company has not yet shared the price of the Sony Xperia 10 VI in the local market, the company has said that the phone will be available in August. It will come in two colourways – the classic Black, and a very light Blue.
