Rumours of Xiaomi’s first ever flip-style foldable smartphone have been circulating for a while. Now, a leaked listing from China’s 3C (Quality Certification Centre) shared on Weibo is suggesting that the allegedly upcoming device, dubbed the Xiaomi Mix Flip, will support 67W fast charging as well as 5G connectivity.
However, that’s the only evidence which corroborates the Mix Flip’s existence so far. Prior leaks are suggesting that it may feature a design that’s almost identical to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, with the only difference being the smaller external display on its cover.
It is also believed that Xiaomi’s compact foldable will come with this year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship chipset, a FHD+ or higher internal display, and a 4,900mAh battery capacity. Imaging-wise, leaks claim the phone will be equipped with a 50MP primary camera and a 60MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom on the cover, as well as a 32MP selfie camera housed within a punch-hole cutout on its internal display.
There’s no word on when the Mix Flip is expected to launch. However, sources believe that it could potentially debut later this year alongside the successor to the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.
