realme has just announced the GT Neo6, a near-flagship smartphone. It offers the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip from Qualcomm, which is a high-end processor that is nearly as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but not quite.
For the specs, the GT Neo6 sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak HDR brightness of 6,000 nits as well as a more modest global peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 inside it is paired with a maximum configuration of 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Regarding protection, it comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water protection as well as Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the screen.
On the optics side, it features a 50MP main camera on the back with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the front houses a 32MP selfie snapper. Powering the device is a large 5,500mAh battery with support for 120W charging. Connectivity-wise, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.
The GT Neo6 is offered in three colour options and retails with a starting price of CNY2,099 (~RM1,375). As of now, the brand has not announced plans for a global launch. Its predecessor, the GT Neo5, was made available in Malaysia nearly a year after it was first unveiled in China but it was rebranded as the GT3.
