OPPO is currently gearing up to launch the Reno12 series, the follow-up to the Reno11 series that was unveiled just a few months ago. Through several leaks and certifications reported in recent weeks, it is believed that the lineup will consist of at least two mid-range smartphones, namely a vanilla version as well as a Pro model.
Just today, the Reno12 Pro was certified by SIRIM with the model number CPH2629, hinting of its imminent arrival. Tipped to be released in China in June, the series will likely receive a global launch as it has also been spotted receiving approval from several other countries including India, Indonesia, and Singapore.
While nothing has been officially revealed by the brand yet, a few key specs have emerged regarding the specs of the two phones. For instance, the Reno12 Pro is said to feature a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It is rumoured to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus Star Speed Edition chipset with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W charging. For imaging, it will reportedly carry a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 50MP selfie shooter. Meanwhile, the vanilla model is said to run on a Dimensity 8250 chip.
