Last night, Apple introduced its new lineup of tablets made up of updated versions of the iPad Air and Pro. For those looking for something more basic, the company also announced some good news for you with another price cut to the vanilla iPad.
The 10th gen iPad, which was released back in 2022 and has not been updated since, now starts from RM1,799 for the base 64GB Wi-Fi trim while the 256GB option costs RM2,549. For the cellular models, it now retails at RM2,549 for 64GB and RM3,299 for the 256GB variant. Keep in mind that the original retail price from nearly two years ago was RM2,099, which was reduced to RM1,999 last year.
In case you need a refresher of the specs, the current vanilla iPad sports a 10.9-inch display with a peak brightness of 500 nits as well as a Touch ID sensor that doubles as a power button. Inside the chassis is an A14 Bionic chip, the same one used in the iPhone 12 series, and for connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6 alongside 5G for the cellular model.
Regarding imaging, the tablet is equipped with a 12MP camera in the back as well as another 12MP ultra-wide lens up front for video calling. On the battery front, it has a 7,606mAh cell which the company claims can last up to 10 hours when watching videos.
