The road transport department (JPJ) has released a statement regarding an online promotion by Bjak that promises free issuance of road tax alongside their online road tax renewal service. According to the department, numerous complaints have been received from the public, where road tax renewal transactions carried out through the platform have not been reflected in the road tax validity period.
In the statement, JPJ clarifies that neither it nor the ministry of transport (MOT) has authorised the platform for road tax renewal transactions. It added that Bjak’s claim of having its audit and approval for online road tax renewal is deemed false and misleading.

The department further emphasised that there’s no system integration between its MySikap system and the platform’s own. Also noted are complaints concerning additional charges imposed by Bjak for road tax renewal, which JPJ underscores that neither it nor MOT have sanctioned.
The public is advised to exercise caution with platforms offering road tax renewal services to avoid losses and deception. They are also urged to contact JPJ for further information before proceeding with such services.
JPJ reminds that all road tax renewal transactions should only be done through its official web portal, on-location counters, kiosks, JPJ Mobile counters, as well as its MyJPJ mobile app and authorised partner platforms. The latter includes Pos Malaysia, MyEG, and PUSPAKOM.
