Samsung Malaysia has announced that the 2024 refresh of its Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet is now available to order for the local market. The device, which was initially announced for the global market in late March, is revealed to retain the design and most specifications of its predecessor, with the exception of the chipset.
To recap, the 2024 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite packs the same 10.4-inch LCD display with 15:9 aspect ratio and 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution, dual AKG-tuned stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as a USB-C port for data transfer and charging. For Malaysia, Samsung is only offering the new tablet in a Wi-Fi configuration.
On the inside, the device now sports the brand’s first-party Exynos 1280 chipset. This is paired together with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with the latter expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. Powering the tablet is the same 7,040mAh battery from before, which is claimed to provide it up to 14 hours of usage time on a single charge.
Like past iterations, the refreshed Galaxy Tab S6 Lite also features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera that’s housed on its side bezel. Additionally, it features Bluetooth 5.3 support, and a compatible S Pen stylus accessory is also included in the package.
The 2024 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is priced at RM1,499, and is available now via Samsung Malaysia’s official website as well as authorised resellers nationwide. In terms of colour options, the tablet is offered in Gray and Mint.
