Acer Malaysia has announced the Acer Nitro V 16 gaming laptop, which the company claims is the first in the series to sport an AMD Ryzen 8000 series processor. The brand also calls it an AI-ready laptop, capable of delivering “AI-enhanced versatile performance and extended battery life”.
To kick things off, the Acer Nitro V 16 has, as the name suggests, a 16-inch 16:10 WUXGA screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time. The equipped processor is an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, and it comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 for its graphics chip. RAM and storage are 16GB DDR5 and 512GB in an SSD.
Being touted as an AI-ready gaming laptop, the Acer Nitro V 16 comes with features such as the company’s Purified View and PurifiedVoice for your streaming and video conferencing needs. Naturally, with the GPU that it has, it comes with Nvidia DLSS 3.5, which will probably see more use considering it’s still a gaming laptop.
The Acer Nitro V 16 has an asking price of RM4,899. While the company says that is now available at the Acer eStore, as well as the official stores on Lazada and Shopee, the laptop is not listed on any of the above, at the time of writing. For what it’s worth, the brand says that if you buy the laptop before 16 May, you stand a chance to get free gifts ranging from a gaming headset and a backpack, to TnG eWallet credits, worth up to RM438 in total.
