Huawei has announced the arrival of its new flagship series, the Pura 70. While we already expected at least two models to be available in Malaysia, the company has surprisingly also brought over the highest-end Ultra variant of the lineup.
To recap, the Pura 70 Ultra sports a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. Underneath the chassis is the brand’s in-house Kirin 9010 chipset paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. All three phones are rated at IP68 for dust and water resistance.
On the optics front, the flagship features a large 1-inch 50MP primary camera with a retractable lens, which is exclusive to the Ultra, a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 40MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus. Powering it is a 5,200mAh battery with support for 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W reverse wireless charging.
Next up is the Pura 70 Pro, which has the same display as the Ultra and also runs on a Kirin 9010 chip but with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. For imaging, it is equipped with a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 48MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom, and a 12.5MP ultra-wide lens. It is powered by a nominally smaller 5,050mAh battery with the same charging speeds as the higher-end variant.
Last but not least, the vanilla Pura 70 gets similar display specs but at a size of 6.6 inches. The standard model runs on a Kirin 9010 processor with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the camera side, it has the same 50MP sensor as the Pro along with a 12MP periscope lens with OIS and 5x optical zoom and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. The battery capacity is 4,900mAh and it supports 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
The Huawei Pura 70 series starts from RM3,699 for the vanilla model, while the Pro retails at RM4,899 and the Ultra is priced at RM6,599. You can pre-order the phones through the company’s online store from now until 24 May 2024, and if you pre-order, you can get free gifts worth over RM2,000. For today only, the brand is also offering a RM210 rebate if you put down a RM70 non-refundable deposit.
