vivo is set to release yet another mid-range device called the Y38. The phone has not been announced by the company, but its design and specs have already leaked several and now, it has made an appearance on the SIRIM database.
The Y38 was listed on SIRIM on 28 April 2024 with the model number V2343. This new listing means that we can probably expect the phone to be made available here shortly after it is launched by the brand. vivo also has other phones set to debut in Malaysia soon, such as the V30e and the unannounced Y18.
According to sightings on several certification websites, the Y38 will come with flat edges and a punch-hole camera cutout, but the size and type of the display is still unknown. It is expected to be equipped with a headphone jack, two rear cameras, an “Aura Light” ring, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Under the hood, the phone will likely run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Powering the phone will be a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 44W charging. Moreover, the Y38 will ship with Android 14.
