Local telco U Mobile has announced that it has opened its first store in East Malaysia, located in the Imago Shopping Mall, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, It is also hosting three-day festival which the company calls the Cara U Sabah Fest in conjunction with the store’s opening.
The U Mobile store itself is, as the company says in its press release, “a full-service store” that allows visitors to do more than just subscribe to a plan or port over from another telco. There is also “an exclusive gaming corner for customers to test the power of U Mobile 5G”. The latter part would probably be useful for those looking to sign up for a device bundle, as the store also stocks the 5G devices available for said bundles.
In conjunction with the launch of the new U Mobile store, the telco says that it has rebates up to RM120 and other free gifts up for grabs. These are only for the first 250 customers to walk in and sign up for a device bundled with U Postpaid Borneo 68, U Postpaid 68 or U Postpaid 98.
As mentioned earlier, there’s also the Cara U Sabah Fest, which involves the telco’s East Malaysian ambassador Stacy Anam performing a new song. The company says that attendees can also stand a chance to win prizes which include “the latest 5G devices, limited edition headware and more”. The fest starts today and will last until 28 April at the Imago Shopping Mall. You can find out more about the fest by hitting the link below.
