Last year, Singaporean company PRISM+ announced that it would be expanding into the smart home market in Malaysia. Now, the brand has introduced a new smart air conditioner called Luna, which was exclusively designed for the Malaysian market.
Luna comes with smart capabilities that let you use your smartphone as second remote controller. Moreover, you can use the Connect app to get remote access and set routines for when to turn the air conditioner on and off as well as the specific set of settings you would like. There is even a geofencing feature that lets you enable a routine for when you are within a set range from the home appliance.
The app lets you get insights on the usage of each Luna air conditioner in your home and its allows you to export the settings to multiple devices; unfortunately, Luna is not compatible with Google Home or Apple HomeKit. PRISM+ has set up in-house maintenance for the air conditioner and you can schedule a maintenance appointment on your phone. This is currently only available in Klang Valley but the firm says it has plans to expand to other major cities in the country in the future.
Additionally, the company is also launching a new smart air purifier called Aura. It has all the same smart features with the Connect app and it is equipped with a HEPA H13 filter as well as an infrared sensor to monitor the air quality in real time.
The Luna smart air conditioner starts at RM999 for the 1.0HP variant and RM1,299 for the 1.5HP variant, although you can it at RM799 and RM1,099 respectively with the early bird promotion. As for the Aura, it retails at RM429 for the white model and RM449 for the grey model, but similarly, you can get it at a cheaper price with the promotion at RM379 and RM399 respectively. Both appliances will be available for pre-order on its website from 1 May and it can be pre-ordered through Lazada and Shopee starting 15 May.
